WOMEN LEADING THE WAY AS ORLANDO PIRATES KRAAIFONTEIN BRANCH PREPARES FOR RE-LAUNCH

As Women’s Month shines a light on women making a difference in sport, the Orlando Pirates Supporters Club – Kraaifontein Branch is preparing for an important milestone: its official re-launch on 16 September 2026 at Bloekombos Primary School.

The branch was recently highlighted for the important role women play behind the scenes in keeping supporters’ clubs active, organised and connected to their communities.

Among those leading the way is Ms Sisana, the branch’s long-serving Treasurer, who says being a woman in sport goes far beyond supporting from the sidelines.

For her, it is about leadership, discipline, financial management, planning and building a stronger supporters’ community.

The upcoming re-launch will provide an opportunity for Orlando Pirates supporters, families and community members to come together, celebrate the Buccaneers and learn more about the work being done by the Kraaifontein branch.

It is also a chance to encourage more women and young people to become involved in sport structures and community activities.

“Come and see what we are building. Women are leading here, and we need your support,” says Ms Sisana.
