JOHANNESBURG

The whole of Orlando townships revabourated into a deafening crescendo when the Buccaneers beat arch rivals, Kaizer Chiefs 2-1 to bounce into the Nedbank Cup Final scheduled for the 27 of this month.

Pirates brought back the glittering years for “Amabaka Baka” dedicated supporters and fans when they beat again Stellenbosch FC 2-1 in the semi-finals of the Nedbank final.

Meanwhile on the other side Kaizer Chiefs look to be under pressure from their fans all over the country after Amakhosi had exhibited disappointing performances right through the DSTV Premier League games.  While Pirates are perched right up the top of the league and positioned at number two, Chiefs seem to be still struggling at position four.  This has come to a stage where a number of Chiefs fans have voiced their disappointment through radio stations and newspapers.  Some of those call have been about the removal of Chiefs, Arthur Zwane who is deemed as unfit to remain as Coach of Chiefs.  But the management of Chiefs has been seen to be reluctant in doing that.  It has been rumoured among the Chiefs circles that those to be blamed were the players themselves as they have failed to reach the standards of Chiefs.

Meanwhile on the other side in the Eastern Cape the soccer fraternity is gripped by uncertainty about the position of the province’s future in the DSTV Premier League.  At the moment the Provinces heroes, Chippa United is hovering over the relegation zone unless a miracle can happen.

Many of the Chippa fans all over the two provinces, Eastern Cape and Western Cape have been complaining about instability among the management as the team continually changes coaches.  The fans believe this has caused instability in the team.
